I had an incredible opportunity to interview Rylie and her mother, Janie, from the Rylie's Smile Foundation yesterday on the show. What an inspiring story to hear about how Rylie healed so quickly thanks to cannabis oil (we're talking major accelerated bone growth . . . and then to further hear how they inspired the biggest anti-cannabis senator in the state of Delaware to push for the legalization of cannabis as medicine for children in that state!
From Rylie's parents:
"Her (Rylie's) Foundation gives Apple iPods and other devices to children to distract them while having to undergo various health issues. Meanwhile, it also educates, supports research, spreads awareness and advocates for improved legislation so that children can have access to medical cannabis. The goal is to be able to improve their quality of life and hopefully help recover them from their ailments. So really the iPods and devices were Rylie’s way to distract children immediately and get their mind off of what was going on while she did her hardest to “save them” but it was illegal for children to even have cannabis in the beginning so we had some hurdles to overcome. She still gives iPods and various devices to children to help take their mind to a different place but it is certainly not the focus. Now that Rylie has successfully put several laws into place her foundation can focus on the rest of her goals!
Rylie has the non profit, Rylie’s Smile Foundation which does the education, advocacy, supports research, and still does the devices. Then she has Rylie’s Sunshine which is a CBD Manufacturing R&D and Research company. Rylie is an equal founder and might be the youngest CBD company CEO in America as of right now."
